January 8, 2009 · 1 Comment

The New York Observer reports that Pantheon Books publisher Janice Goldklang has been “let go after more than 25 years with the company amid the ongoing restructuring of Random House Inc.” During Goldklang’s tenure, Pantheon has become a premier publisher of graphic novels, including work by Art Spiegelman (whose Maus was first published under predecessor Andre Schiffrin), Dan Clowes, Kim Deitch, Marjane Satrapi, Chris Ware, and many others.
